  • On the street without social security and with only 500 euros after 20 years as a nun

On the street without social security and with only 500 euros after 20 years as a nun

Today, different media in Spain echoed the story of the former Sister Fidelis, thus joining many victims around the world who denounce exactly the same thing. Without going any further, in Mendoza, Argentina, the SSVM are on trial for abandonment of person and moral damages of the former Sr. Piaghe, who was also more than 25 years and got sick inside. Today she must face the courts without her superiors having the slightest charity to face the damages they caused. In Spain they interviewed the former Sister Fidelis who had the courage to tell us her story. Here we replicate that of the media “La voz de Galicia”, although the news has been published in different media in Spain.

At the age of 18 she entered the Institute of Religious SERVANTS OF THE LORD AND THE VIRGIN OF MATARÁ, belonging to the Congregation of the Incarnate Word, after the years of initiation into religious life as a novitiate and student body (carried out in Brazil and Argentina). I was exploited with jobs, since I was in charge of many things, and I hardly had time to study, and sometimes to sleep. I could no longer pray, because of the stress and anxiety I was enduring due to the sickly rhythm of that asylum (and not a Catholic seminary).

    Chain of cover-ups

I am Luis María de la Calle; I suffered sexual abuse in the minor seminary of the IVE when I was 12 years old. I denounced everything that happened to the former bishop of San Rafael, Msgr. Taussig, who did the right thing. But I had to present the complaint on my own, I directly to the diocesan bishop, since this duty of the superiors of the IVE in the person of the late Buela and the unpresentable current rector of the same minor seminary in which I suffered the abuse, Fr. Gabriel Zapata, was not done at the time.

Former SSVM nun affected: “They held me against my will and destroyed me psychologically”

A woman who spent 20 years in the IVE tells IDEAL her story and how they “manipulate” the devotees to obtain donations

Aurora, not her real name, was only 16 years old when a priest at the Institute of the Incarnate Word urged her to run away from her parents’ home in Brazil to start the novitiate. His family did not want him to make such a drastic decision at that young age, but one night he fled to Argentina with the priest.
